Global Quality of Life Survey for Patients with Acute Leukemia

The Acute Leukemia Advocates Network (ALAN) is running a global patient survey to assess quality of life at different points in the acute leukemia patient journey. You can access the survey here: http://www.myonlinesurvey.co.uk/ALAN

ABOUT ACUTE LEUKEMIA

Acute leukemia is an aggressive disease; it progresses extremely rapidly without treatment and has historically been associated with poor outcomes in adults. The two most common subtypes of acute leukemia are acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

Due to recent changes in how acute leukemia is treated, there is an urgent need for greater understanding of Quality of Life at different points in the acute leukemia patient journey.

The Acute Leukemia Advocates Network ALAN is a network of patient organisations from around the world dedicated to improving outcomes in acute leukemia. ALAN is running a multi-country survey to generate data, understand issues and gather information on the current and emerging treatment landscape, experiences and quality of life of patients.

PARTICIPATE IN THIS SURVEY!

  • Help create evidence about quality of life at different points in the acute leukemia patient journey
  • Aid patient advocates and advocacy groups to inform and influence stakeholder communities, industry and policy makers
  • Help to identify and communicate the varying levels of information, care and support available for patients and caregivers
  • Support education and information tools and programmes for acute leukemia healthcare professionals (HCPs)

Once the survey is completed, we will aim to publish results in professional medical journals and present them at hematology meetings and congresses.

The ALAN survey is now available for acute leukemia patients to complete in English, French, Hebrew, Italian, Russian, Chinese and Spanish.  There will be more languages coming soon.
