29 February is Rare Disease Day

More than 300 million people worldwide are living with a rare disease. Rare Disease Day is a global campaign that aims to raise awareness and offer support for those on a rare medical journey, including rare cancers such as MDS. This event takes place annually on the last day of February, which this year falls on February 29th.

With 600+ events worldwide and participation from 106 countries, Rare Disease Day unites patients, families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, researchers, clinicians, policy makers, industry representatives and the general public.

MDSA will be joining Rare Disease Day with a campaign on our social media channels to raise awareness and we would like to encourage all our members to take part too. Make sure to like and share our posts on your social media channels to help spread the word.
